Our Projects

Project for young homeless people
This project houses 6 young people at any one time. Each person has a bed/study room of their own and they share a kitchen, washing and drying facilities, bathroom and shower, living room and a computer room with internet access. The young people can have guests to stay with our permission. We have support staff present during the day and night as well as 24 hour CCTV. The staff help with day-to-day living including: form filling, budgeting, making and keeping appointments, shopping and cooking etc. We are always willing to listen to residents concerns and our aim is to provide support to help them achieve their goals.

Move-on project for young people
There are 9 self contained 1 bedroom flats available for young people who have moved on from the first phase of the project for young homeless people. This project gives an excellent chance for young people to live in their own flat with weekly support from the support staff. This builds their self-esteem and confidence and enables them to keep their tenancies and find education, employment or other training opportunities.

Supported housing for young people leaving care
In partnership with Ceredigion County Council Social Services Department we offer support to 6 young care leavers living in 6 self contained flats. The young people receive support to help them keep their tenancy and help them with work and college opportunities and life skills. The young people are referred to us by Social Services.

Support project for ex-offenders
We work with Dyfed Probation Service to provide support to ex-offenders in the community. There are two parts to the project. The first part involves providing support to 20 people in the community. Some of these may be re-housed in the second part of the project where the ex-offenders have become tenants with us and get weekly support from our support staff. The projects provide a home to 15 people – usually in self contained 1 bedroom flats.

Support staff help tenants build their self-esteem and confidence to enable them to keep their tenancies and seek education, employment or other training opportunities. The support is not time limited. The ex-offenders are referred to us by Dyfed Powys Probation Service.

Tenancy Support Service
We have 2 tenancy support workers for tenants who need help to keep their tenancy with us. All our new tenants receive a visit from the workers and if necessary, the workers will arrange to call weekly. The support workers advise, write letters on behalf of, listen to, and help tenants access all sorts of community facilities and help from other specialist support agencies.
